The Adams Morgan Community Alliance (AMCA) was formed in July 2016 to support the community by stepping in to continue the tradition of our annual Adams Morgan Day celebration. Held every second Sunday in September and now in its 42nd year, Adams Morgan Day is Washington’s longest running neighborhood festival.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Adams Morgan Day will take place in compliance with all public health policies of the Mayor’s Office. Adams Morgan Day 2020 (September 13, 2010) will be a digital celebration of our neighborhood businesses, artists, and service organizations. Following that, the week of September 14th-20th will be a socially-distant celebration of Adams Morgan. The website for Adams Morgan Day can be found at http://www.admoday.com
Until Adams Morgan Day 2015, the event was run by another entity, which has since disbanded. Local residents and businesses came together to form the Adams Morgan Community Alliance to save Adams Morgan Day.
