The Adams Morgan Community Alliance (AMCA) was formed in July 2016 to support the community by stepping in to continue the tradition of our annual Adams Morgan Day celebration. Held every second Sunday in September and now in its 46th year, Adams Morgan Day is Washington’s longest running neighborhood festival.

Until Adams Morgan Day 2015, the event was run by another entity, which has since disbanded. Local residents and businesses came together to form the Adams Morgan Community Alliance to save Adams Morgan Day.

Adams Morgan Day

Our goal is to hold a true community celebration each year. We have turned Adams Morgan Day back into a volunteer-run event and we intend to be as transparent and inclusive as possible, while growing the festival from year to year by listening to community feedback.

Volunteer Board Members

Our Board Members are all volunteers who are directly involved in planning for Adams Morgan Day. They do not receive payment for their services.
